The Somerset County Foundation for Higher Education is dedicated to empowering the residents of Somerset County to achieve their post-secondary educational goals. Our Board of Directors, comprised of fourteen esteemed members from diverse sectors including business, education, private industry, and government, brings a wealth of experience and commitment to our mission.

Our part-time Executive Director, Suzanne Funa, works alongside our dedicated board to ensure that Somerset County residents have access to quality post-secondary education within the county. Since our inception, we have been steadfast in our mission to support students through scholarships, tuition assistance, and low-interest student loans.
Our Mission: We are a non-profit, fundraising organization committed to making post-secondary education accessible and affordable for all Somerset County residents. Our goal is to provide opportunities for students to achieve their educational aspirations and secure a sustainable future.
To date, we have awarded over $790,000 in scholarships and tuition assistance to nearly 4,000 students. Additionally, our low-interest student loan program, managed through the George S. Cook Education Fund, has provided substantial financial support to students in need.
